Glass and metal come together to make this one of a kind, handmade necklace. Carefully coiled and sculpted wire meanders it way around a painted glass cabochon that features antique watch parts. beads of brass and blue czech glass accent the colors of the cabochon, which shift mystically from tones of silvery purple to greenish blue with an occasional flash of orange. The chain of this necklace is made of hand wrapped links, and the piece is completed with a unique wire wrapped clasp.
I like the outer 'encasement' of beads and chain and coiled wires. The layers and colors are very exciting to look at. I don't really care for the inner cabochon, though. The colors are complementary to the outer part, but the frame is more interesting to me than what is being framed. I understand you don't want the inside to be too busy, you don't want it to compete with the frame, but I don't really care for the random gears. Maybe if the gears were arranged in some way other than just random.
I only say that because this showed up in my deal with CRITIQUE REQUESTED at the bottom! Still pretty!
