+10 for revealing costume: it distracts the enemy (in good ways or bad) giving you the advantage :P

We sold this piece a while back and it was a unique creation so we don't have any more made. We do love to do custom work, though, so please send my a note or e-mail if you are interested in having something made especially for you!

$150 seems too little for what you have made here! Wow, this is not only very intricate and detailed and professional looking, its also striking and beautiful. I think if you sell this you should charge more! LOL

Wow, that's a lot of work! Looks like it would suit a hardcore bellydancer. I had a classmate in HS who made a sort of mini tank top something like this, she eventually lined it in a layer of heavy red satin to keep it from catching and chafing. Made a nice flash of colour through the rings, and made it less chilly to wear.

Thank you!

I did a piece in the past that used real coins that were about 24 cents each. I opted to use pennies in this one!

that's very nicely designed and made - speaking from experience making chainmail.
as with any chainmail apparently intended to be worn on bare skin, I am moved to ask whether each individual ring's ends have been individually welded/soldered and ground smooth. have they?

BacktoEarthCreations Featured By Owner Mar 5, 2012  Professional Artisan Crafter
These rings have not been welded; just butted to the best of my ability. Also, before weaving my rings I run them through a rotary tumbler with stainless steel shot and a burnishing compound so it removes any burrs and rough edges.

This piece would cost soooo much more if each ring were welded!

Nice work, though depending on the cut of your rings, you might be underpricing yourself a bit.

They are machine cut; If I used saw cut or a more expensive material than the price would reflect that.

I agree! I made this one for a petite frame to keep the price down (and to fit the mannequin: they don't seem to make mannequins that are 'human' sized) but we can resize this piece to fit clients exactly how they would like.

I'd like to see the logic behind why they make mannequins so darn small! It looks ridiculous when I make a c or d cup bra and put it on the mannequins; if its a heavier piece the things just fall over from being top heavy, lol!

Logic: Society is extremely stupid and obsessive with thin/small women.
Yeah, it must be horrible to work so hard on a product only unable to properly show it off. :XD:

Any chainmaille that isn't sized properly for the person wearing it can pinch or chafe; this piece was designed to be more decorative than supportive and works wonderfully as a bra cover, especially if worn during dancing when extra support would be a necessity.

:D This piece actually used to be just a long jingle belt that didn't sell for two years, so I shortened and used the pieces I had removed to make the beginnings of the top. I very much prefer it this way!

I love it when old pieces get remade into something better. I always feel very pleased being able to improve something that would otherwise just sit in a box going to waste.
Again, this is a really awesome set! :D
