RINGINATOR!!!

4 min read

Heya, Folks!!!

Hows it hanging?

Are yall enjoying all the new uploads? I hope so! I'm trying hard to stay on top of getting pictures of our work before we send them off to their new homes and get it all uploaded in a timely manner. Randy (my furrier half, if you've had the pleasure to meet him!) has been doing his best to stay on top of all the messages; llamas, notes, comments, and :+devwatch: , :+fav: 's have been keeping him perfectly busy! (poor fella has a full time job keeping all the loose ends I leave around tied up!)

In recent news we have thinned out most of our fall shows; we are doing a couple huge projects (more details in the future!) that are keeping us well fed and over worked so we cut it back to just one show a month until November.

New Upcoming Shows New

July 26-28: Anime Iowa (Coralville, IA) [link]

August 30-September 2: DragonCon (Atlanta, GA) [link]

September 13-15: Central Missouri Renaissance Festival (Kingdom City, MO) [link]

October 19: Maple Leaf Festival (Carthage, MO) [link]

November 1-3: GMX (Nashville, TN) [link]

November 15-17: Memphis Comic and Fantasy Con (Memphis, TN) [link]

We're still flipping out about Dragon Con. Our hotel is booked (we will be arriving in Atlanta on Wednesday before the show) and we have a trusted helper coming along to lend her assistance. Yall be sure to come visit us in the art show if you're at the convention!

oh, and we ordered a RINGINATOR!!!!! Its a nifty thing that enables us to cut our own rings! For the longest time we had just been buying the bulk of our rings from www.theringlord.com but now we will be able to coil and cut our own rings on an as-need basis. This should help us to shorten the turn over time on a lot of our products, which is better for yall!

The move to Missouri has been proving to be a good idea! Randy hurt his right hand during the move, so he was out of commission for about a month, so in the down time I transformed the yard. I've been keeping a gardening blog if anyone has an interest in it: www.backtoearthproduce.weebly.com (you can follow Back to Earth Produce on facebook as well!)

Let me know what yall are up to, what you like, love, hate, etc!

er...mah...gherd.... we have been a couple of busy bees so far this year! Uploads to the internet have suffered dramatically, but our show schedule is on a roll that I could seriously get used to! (oh, by the way, did I mention that I am a workaholic and poor Randy is a slave?)

OhayoCon was amazing. Still in shock of how well we did there!

NaughtiGras was amazing. We went in with 30 costumes and body chains and came home with 6.

SheVaCon was not the best show in the world (winter storm Nemo found us that weekend!) but it was fun and we got to hang out with some really awesome and unique people! (any one up for drawing penises for an hour with a professional children's book illustrator?)

ConNooga is feeling some growing pains as they make changes to the convention set up, but we got to catch up with the wonderful :iconred-dragon-lord: and his lovely wife! Check them out if you haven't; this man is walking talent (and they are genuinely awesome people, which is hard to beat!)

MoMoCon was awesome and if you could find us in the rat maze of a dealers room then you got to see our newest work that will never get to see the light of the internet because I was a bad elf and didn't get pictures of it before the show!

So we took a moment of reprieve and treated ourselves to Oz the Great and Powerful and some tacos. Now it is back to work with custom orders and restocking for the upcoming MidSouthCon, which is always a pleasure (we love our Memphis crowd!) and then the following weekend at MTAC. Then we will have a weekend off before heading up to the St Louis area for Anime St Louis.

And that leads us up to the big news: we are moving to Carthage, Missouri. It is both a personal and business move as it is opening up a lot of the MidWest shows for us that were just too far away in the past and it is bringing us to a half way point geographically between my family and Randy's family, so maybe we will see more of both of them. The best part is we will still be keeping our basic show schedule so we will still see most of our friends (albeit not as often as we would like!)

On that note, back to the work bench! Hello and thank you to all our new followers and new friends! Until next time, Happy Crafting!

OhayoCon was phenomenal!! We had so much fun, met some really amazing cosplayers, sold a ton of stuff, and had an all-around good time! I wanted to throw in a shout out to the people who helped us on Sunday late afternoon; we were carting our last load of booth stuff out to the car and the cart tipped. Yall came out of the wood works and helped us. That was awesomely nice of you and it warmed my frigid stone of a heart; I wasn't able to thank any of you personally, but by the random chance that one of you are reading this I want you to know that you're awesome!

After the con we have hit the ground running in preparation for Naughti Gras and SheVaCon the immediate weekend after. Everything feels like a hectic mess with the looming news of our impending move. Speaking of which; we will be moving to Carthage, Missouri this coming April. Its a strategic family and business move so hopefully many good things will come of it. The great news is that we will still be able to do a lot of the same shows that we have been doing, with the addition of many new shows in the MidWest. I am terribly afraid of tornadoes, though, so dealing with that whole tornado alley thing is going to be interesting....

A HUGE thanks to all our new watchers! :glomp: Your support and interest in what we do means a lot to me and I am honored to have so many talented and cool people notice that we exist! If the throw a llama at you, its because I like you and your work and... well.... its fun!
