er...mah...gherd.... we have been a couple of busy bees so far this year! Uploads to the internet have suffered dramatically, but our show schedule is on a roll that I could seriously get used to! (oh, by the way, did I mention that I am a workaholic and poor Randy is a slave?)
OhayoCon was amazing. Still in shock of how well we did there!
NaughtiGras was amazing. We went in with 30 costumes and body chains and came home with 6.
SheVaCon was not the best show in the world (winter storm Nemo found us that weekend!) but it was fun and we got to hang out with some really awesome and unique people! (any one up for drawing penises for an hour with a professional children's book illustrator?)
ConNooga is feeling some growing pains as they make changes to the convention set up, but we got to catch up with the wonderful
and his lovely wife! Check them out if you haven't; this man is walking talent (and they are genuinely awesome people, which is hard to beat!)
MoMoCon was awesome and if you could find us in the rat maze of a dealers room then you got to see our newest work that will never get to see the light of the internet because I was a bad elf and didn't get pictures of it before the show!
So we took a moment of reprieve and treated ourselves to Oz the Great and Powerful and some tacos. Now it is back to work with custom orders and restocking for the upcoming MidSouthCon, which is always a pleasure (we love our Memphis crowd!) and then the following weekend at MTAC. Then we will have a weekend off before heading up to the St Louis area for Anime St Louis.
And that leads us up to the big news: we are moving to Carthage, Missouri. It is both a personal and business move as it is opening up a lot of the MidWest shows for us that were just too far away in the past and it is bringing us to a half way point geographically between my family and Randy's family, so maybe we will see more of both of them. The best part is we will still be keeping our basic show schedule so we will still see most of our friends (albeit not as often as we would like!)
On that note, back to the work bench! Hello and thank you to all our new followers and new friends! Until next time, Happy Crafting!
